A Bit about me!

Re- reading last nights blog has now made me quite anxious about what I have under taken. So many people have asked WHY I'm doing this? WHY NOT!

Not that I feel I have to answer this question but maybe I will try anyway.

Family and close friends have always been, and always will be my first priority. So, for me, when ever I catch up with anyone, whether it be Parents,Friends, Children, Siblings etc whoever, it is always over a meal. This may be only once a year in some cases, Christmas for example, it may also mean going to a cafe, Pub or restaurant, no matter, food represents warmth, laughter and happy memories for me.

As one friend said I may get an offer from Weight Watchers after this year is out but I think the big dollars has already been taken by someone else.(I hope that I am allowed to write that? My apologies to all if not. I am still learning!)

Getting back on the subject, we all need to eat so lets make the most of it. Make it fun! Cooking is not for everyone nor is gardening but as my partner and I like to do both, why not share from our new and upgrowing (is that a word? It is now) garden to the kitchen table.

Hello!! Is there anybody out there?

Is this what you say to the whole WORLD?

Propbably not but I just did?

I think because I don't know if this is working or not.

Well this is somthing that I have never done, so please bear with me.
 I will learn, as some others, just how to blog??? That in it self has been a trial. Thanks Jess, (My beautiful daughter.) for getting me this far but I am also sure that I will need Jess,Matt and the rest of my younger Family to keep me going.

So this is it. (I just have to learn how to type againANDWE WILL BE OK?) I Hope!!!!!
I have actually been doing this since Sunday May 6th and started with my own Frittata.
This is so easy
Family of 4
Eggs for the amount of people 6 EGGS= 4 people

Bacon 2 rashers
Capsicum
Sun dried tomatoes
Grated cheese
Ground Cumin, Turmeric, Coriander, White pepper & Salt to taste

It is what I had in the fridge and pantry at the time. You can change the amounts or ingredients to whatever, as you will see later, I will.

Because I’m starting this (WAS a blog site now email) I am trying to think of what I am going to cook, buy and how I can use left overs to create new things.

I won’t post every recipe unless you ask but I, as of now will tell you what I have cooked.

As I said last night

May 7 Eye Fillet Plain

May 8 Chicken & Corn enchiladas (Ref; Good Taste)

May 9 Moroccan Lamb (YUM!!!)

May 10 Pork with tarragon & white wine sauce

May 11 Cauliflower soup made with roasted garlic

May 12 plain old beef stroganoff

May 13 (Mothers day)

This was a great day as it was the first time Trev and I had been home in 7 years and the first time I spent mothers day with MY MUM in 15 years. Yes you read right my mum and dad are travellers also. THIS MOTHERSDAY WAS VERY SPECAIL! Everyone was at our new house. It was sooooo Bloody cold.C

So this is what I made!

Roast Pumpkin, Ricotta, Fetta and Spinach Lasagne (Ref good taste Vol 17 n#4)

I have to say this was really really goood
